On December 31, 2001, it was announced that Lynn Redgrave
had been chosen to be honoured with the appointment of the Order of the
British Empire (OBE). On March 19, 2002, Lynn, accompanied by her three children, went
to Buckingham Palace for the ceremony of investiture, where Queen
Elizabeth presented the medal. The honour is for services to acting and
the British community in Los Angeles.
